About NADS
The National Association of Diaper Services is the international professional trade association for the diaper service industry, providing its members with a broad program of services and activities.
Membership meetings are held regularly.
There are many other programs and services you can take advantage of as a NADS member, but none may be more important than the opportunity to meet and share ideas and information with other diaper service operators.
- Also: A compulsory testing program that enables you to demonstrate the effectiveness and safety of your product.
- Marketing and Sales helps, including our own website at www.diapernet.org, and the production of sales material, brochures, and reprints for your use.
- "Operation Diversify" . . . helping members to increase income potential by expanding into allied businesses. Learn from the experience of others!
- Advice and answers to any questions you may have, just by asking!
- The ability to communicate quickly and regularly with the other diaper services in our email chat group.
- The efforts of the Technical and Research Committees on matters relating to production (they are currently working on developing an effective, affordable all-in-one diaper);
- A monthly Newsletter with news and information about the industry and its people.
These are only a few of the programs, available from NADS, based on almost sixty-five years of experience in the diaper service industry. The Association was founded in 1938!
And, while the benefit may not be so obvious, the existence of a united association representing all industry members may be the most important reason to join. Just last year, fast action by NADS and its attorneys in responding to an FTC "inquiry" into our claims that cloth diaper babies are trained faster than babies using disposables, resulted in FTC dropping the action. Without a trade group to rebut the complaint (I wonder by whom it was made?) the industry would not be able to use that important sales argument.
Our most precious asset is the deep experience and limitless knowledge about our industry, gathered over the last sixty plus years, that is available to all members to solve problems, generate ideas, and answer questions about the day by day operation of your business, as well as its long-term health and growth!
